No one knows who will be prosecuted next by the January 6th Select Committee and the Department of Justice. Mark Meadows or Jeffrey Clark may be the next Trump enablers to be held in contempt of Congress.
The Jan. 6th Committee will likely vote to hold others in contempt of Congress next week. Jeffrey Clark and Mark Meadows may be held in contempt of Congress next week. The Department of Justice will assemble another grand jury that will then indict them on contempt of Congress.
The Department of Justice has sent a message that if you defy Congress, you will be prosecuted. This is a positive first step in defending our institutions and democracy itself from more attacks like the Jan. 6th insurrection.
U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland has taken the wrong approach to investigate the ongoing efforts to overthrow the United States of America by former President Donald J. Trump. The investigation should begin at the top if that is where the evidence is at, and in this case it is. The DOJ can see plenty of evidence of seditious conspiracy (18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy) and aiding and comforting a violent insurrection (18 U.S. Code § 2383 - Rebellion or insurrection).
While it is true that no one was prepared for an actual sitting president to try to overthrow the United States of America, there is no excuse for the indefinite delay in prosecution we have been experiencing. If we were in a war, we wouldn't wait two years before taking action, we would address the threat and respond immediately or we would be in grave peril and could be killed.
That being said, the DOJ is looking closely at the January 6th hearings and are investigating independently. At any time Trump could be indicted and arrested.

The January 6th Select Committee and the Department of Justice know that they must act quickly. For this reason, we can expect many more indictments and prosecutions. The January 6th Select Committee will likely vote to hold either Mark Meadows or Jeffrey Clark in contempt of Congress next week and the Department of Justice prosecutions will occur by the end of November
Federal grand juries will again assemble to indict Trump enablers for contempt of Congress. Many will likely not cooperate and will be indicted on additional charges and incarcerated. If they are not incarcerated, Trump allies may be able to delay until the 2022 election, at which time they will attempt another coup and takeover of the United States government.
There was an attempt to overthrow the United States of America by Trump at his war room at the Willard Hotel immediately prior to the attack on the Capitol building of the United States. The challenge now is for the Jan. 6th Select Committee and the Department of Justice to act swiftly. Our court systems are too slow, and this could be a fatal flaw unless there is resolve to correct this problem at the highest levels
Judging from the facts, swift contempt charges, indictments and arrests are the only option here.

3/30/22: The federal judge in California slammed former U.S. President Donald Trump and said that felony obstruction is likely, although he cannot himself levy such charges. His powerful words, however, are heard by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and the DOJ attorneys under him. To add more pressure as well as ability to prosecute, the missing official White House records from January 6th reveal a massive coverup.
All of this should drive the legal, moral and congressional investigation toward a subpoena, indictment, arrest and prison term for Trump, Clark, Flynn and others who were involved with the coup and Trump riot.
The refusal of Trump allies to provide more information to the January 6th Committee is a hint of the massiveness and ongoing nature of the threat to humanity. This is happening while Ukrainian children are being kidnapped by Putin and brought to Russia in what is now a global threat to democracy and out way of life.
3/02/22: The January 6th Committee has filed a motion in court documents today based on solid evidence that Trump committed “criminal conspiracy to defraud the United States” and corrupt obstruction of an official proceeding in an effort to overturn the 2020 election.
The evidence is well documented.
This is also intended to stop John Eastman from pleading the 5th. The Select Committee is telling a judge tonight that the former President Trump, John Eastman and others where engaged in crime and are therefore not eligible for a 5th amendment plea.
The time is fast approaching when Trump will be subpoenaed, indicted, arrested and sent to prison.

02/26/22 UPDATE: Georgia GOP chair told the January 6th Committee that the Trump campaign directed the use of fake electors in 2020.
The House Oversight and Reform Committee is conducting an investigation parallel to the January 6th Committee. The committee chairwoman has requested an inventory of the content of the 15 boxes of White House records retrieved from Mar-a-Lago, as well as evidence related to the belief that Trump periodically flushed papers down the toilet according to White House Staff. Requested were all torn up documents and documents and records related to employees and contractors finding paper in a toilet in the White House and the president’s residence.
For these and many other reasons, Trump should be indicted, arrested and sent to prison.
01/28/22 UPDATE: The January 6th Select Committee subpoenaed 14 “Alternate Electors.” They are looking at how the Whitehouse was coordinating a parade of fake Electoral College certificates in seven states, Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Federal investigators are already looking at the possibility that federal law was violated by the existence of matching paperwork showing fake electors lying for Trump. If only one of the fake electors admits to the plot, the entire Trump conspiracy will be proven and seditious conspiracy election fraud charges will be levied on all those involved, including Trump.
Trump will soon be subpoenaed, indicted, arrested and sent to prison.

If Trump enablers are not held in contempt of Congress and then prosecuted and indicted by the Department of Justice, America will be taken over by authoritarian extremists. This is an assault on democracy. We are under attack from within, and out system of laws must be used to expediently prosecute those attacking the United States.
The survival of the United States of America and democracy depends largely on the resolve of the Justice Department to indict and arrest Trump and his enablers.
Trump’s active and ongoing scheme to overthrow the government must be stopped through prosecutions and arrests.
The Select Committee will almost certainly issue criminal referrals for Mark Meadows, Jeffrey Clark and other Trump enablers to the Justice Department for those who defy subpoenas. The DOJ will then indict these individuals.
There is a scientific reason why people see what they want to see. This is what is driving division.
The Republican Party are domestic terrorists. They are currently changing voting laws at federal and state levels in another attempt to overthrow the United States of America and dismantle democracy from the inside out. Domestic terrorists have been acting freely in and out of the government without consequences due to the criminal actions of the former president.
Republicans are acting criminally to change election laws so that Democrats cannot be elected. But our legal system cannot act quickly enough to stop them. This is a coup to take over our democracy and the United States of America.
Jeffrey Clark and Mark Meadows must be held in contempt of Congress, and the January 6th Committee knows this. After a grand jury indicts Jeffrey Clark and Mark Meadows, the DOJ will indict them. They must be prosecuted, arrested and sent to jail.

Because Bill Barr’s legislative branch is no longer there to protect Trump, this time around, the House may be able to go all the way.
When Congress issues a subpoena that is ignored, the person subpoenaed is in contempt of that subpoena, and it can be pursued by the Justice Department. During the Trump years the DOJ did not enforce any congressional subpoenas. That was because Bill Barr was improperly acting more like Trumps private attorney than the U.S. Attorney General.
Merrick Garland did act to prosecute Steve Bannon, and this tells us that more Trump enablers will be prosecuted for contempt of Congress. The Trump riot which was an attempted violent coup at the Capitol on January 6th is the worst crime in history. Prosecutions are necessary.
