Yes, your thoughts can and do influence events. Because both thoughts and matter are electromagnetic energy, thoughts do influence and create events. This happens just below consciousness. You are always influencing events and other people. There is no pause button. It’s like gravity; you can’t turn it off.
If a thought is too weak an intensity to influence people or events, you can increase its energy content and its ability to influence people. You do that by believing the thought with emotional intensity. Increasing the amount of time you think about it also increases the effect a thought has on people and events.
High intensity thoughts manifest much faster than low intensity. When the intensity of a probable event is sufficient and conditions permit, the idea you have energized in this way will manifest as an event or object.

Yes, your thoughts do influence people. If you think about a past event in which others were involved, those people may recall the same event at the exact time you have a thought about that event. As thoughts come to mind others pick them up and have similar thoughts.
Every thought you have reaches out and influences everyone you know in the past, present and future. You cannot force people to do something they do not want to do, but each thought you have has an influence on others. Even the smallest, most insignificant thought influences people and reality to some degree.
Every thought affects the environment, reality and people connected to you or affected by your actions. Emotions have the greatest immediate impact. It seems obvious to me that there is a strong correlation between beliefs, thoughts and emotions and what happens to you on a daily basis. There is a lag, or a delay between a thought and its manifestation, but with strong emotions you see an immediate change. Psychologically this is obvious, but strong emotion can shift probabilities.
